At Macresac we understand sustainability as a global commitment that goes beyond respect for the environment. We work under ESG (Environmental, Social & Good Governance) criteria, integrating responsible practices throughout our value chain. This entails minimising our environmental impact, encouraging an ethical, safe and inclusive workplace, and guaranteeing transparent and rigorous management aligned with the highest standards of governance. We believe this is the only way to create solid, long-lasting, consistent growth.

Our commitment to the environment

We encourage environmental protection through responsible practices that minimise the environmental impact of our products and manufacturing processes. We implement policies that promote energy efficiency, waste reduction and the rational use of natural resources.

We use more recycled material

The recycled material we use in our products has increased by over 27% compared to 2023, which means we are progressing towards a more resource-efficient production model, aligned with the circular economy principles.

We reduce product thickness

Thanks to optimised formulations, we manufacture lower-thickness solutions without compromising quality or functionality. This allows us to significantly reduce the amount of material used in each application.

We design 100% recyclable products

All of our product lines are designed to be fully recyclable, which allows us to actively contribute to circular economy and to enable responsible management when products reach the end of their service life.

At the Armando Alvarez Group we encourage sustainability through our GoCircularPlastics plan, an initiative that focuses on promoting plastic circularity and a more responsible use of resources. 

Based on this plan, Macresac has developed a range of mix-and-match ECOsolutions that not only meet functional requirements, but also reduce the environmental impact of the packaging industry.

Health and safety at the workplace

Our team’s safety and well–being are a priority for us. We have solid occupational risk prevention policies and we continuously allocate resources to specific training, as well as to improve our equipment and facilities. Our aim is to guarantee a safe, healthy and respectful workplace environment where everyone can confidently perform their job.

We offer our staff different training opportunities aimed at improving their technical knowledge and acquiring new skills. At Macresac we believe in long-lasting relationships that are based on trust, both with our employees and clients and with our environment. Our goal is clear: to generate sustainable and shared value. 

In recent years we have spent over €44 million on improving processes and infrastructure, leading to job creation and consolidating a stable workforce. We currently have over 140 professionals and we continue to grow. We have created 60 stable job positions since 2020, reinforcing our commitment to local development and to creating real opportunities.

We also encourage responsible corporate management through policies that promote people’s well-being, inclusion and job safety, as well as transparency, corporate ethics and regulatory compliance at all levels of the organisation.
